Established in 1933, the Foodservice Packaging Institute (FPI) is the trade association for the foodservice packaging industry in North America. In its most recent state of the industry survey, about 57 percent of respondents experienced growth in volume, and nearly 60 percent reported profit growth in 2015. This year, more than three quarters of the industry expect volume expansion and half expect profit growth. Over the next five years, those surveyed view fast casual, convenience stores and QSRs as potential growth areas.
